The Ringling Park

Posted by Susanna On February - 15 - 2011

Meanwhile I left Orlando. Todd another friend of mine had picked me up and we went to visit his friends Lathrop and Andrew and their family in Sarasota in Florida. I never had heard of that city before and was surprised how nice it was. Even more – Sarasota and the surrounding area has so much to offer! Since Todd and I wanted to do photos of a lot of things. Turns out we really cannot decide what first. Yesterday I was just relaxing and doing some workout and Pilates with Lathrop but today I took first photos of the Ringling Park (This time we were too late for entering the museum.) and a Sandhill Crane and a Tricolored Heron. For bird watcher Florida has a lot to offer.

David

David is the second biggest city in Panama. And it is a perfect place to stay and plan trips from there in surrounding towns like Boquette or areas like the cloud forest, the hot springs or islands. I stayed at the Bambu Hostel of Greg and Mike and it became like a second home to me while being away.

Iguana park

Posted by Susanna On November - 5 - 2010

Can you imagine! Guayaquil in Ecuador is probably the only park in the world where big iguanas live peacefully in the middle of a pulsing city! Of course I had to see them. Yes it was true – park Simon Bolivar is full of people – and iguanas! They walk around, dig wholes in the ground and climb trees or chasing pigeons… Just amazing to watch. Nearby is the cathedral what I visited as well.

One day in Stanley Park

Posted by Susanna On August - 22 - 2008

They say the most popular attraction of Vancouver is Stanley Park. And yes – its beautiful. I’ve been there today with my friend Chelisse. We had awesome weather and blue sky. So we went for a nice walk under old massive trees. We went to the totem pols and did lots of fun photos. I really enjoyed it. At the Stanley Park is also the aquarium and I might go there too… Read the rest of this entry »

Xieng Khuang Buddha Park

Posted by Susanna On February - 22 - 2007

After feeling a little bit weak in the morning I decided having a shake and then doing a trip to the Xieng Khuang Buddha Park. First I had to find out where the park was located and how to get there. I bought a postcard with some pictures of the park and showed it to the people. That seem to help. I found out it is about 20km out of Vientiane city but I could take a public bus for 4000kip. Back home the bus leaves all 10min. So i went to the Buddha Park. It cost 5000kip entry and also another 2000kip for doing photography. It was a good idea to come in the afternoon because it was very quite at the park.
